Into the Night

by 5.11.12

Hi Sweets,

Before I left on the tour I made some pictures for the blog. On tour the lighting is very poor and it is difficult to make 'beauty' pictures in a dark bus with artificial lighting.

This is OPI's 'Into the Night' from the 'Amazing Spiderman' collection. The color in the bottle looked so alluring that I had to have it. It looked like a magic potion. Unfortunately it is very sheer and needs three coats before it is opaque. You could also put a dark blue or black nail polish as a base, but then the color might turn out different.

I am leaving now to go into the night,

Sleep tight!

  1. I have this problem alot with blue nail polishes. Maybe because of that I never wear blues.
I have a question: Do you set up a special lighting for your photos, as you said it´s difficult to make "beauty pics" on tour?! Could you show how you set up the lights? Or do you use the natural light?
    Lovely geetings <3

    1. I prefer natural day light inside a white room. Colors are true and it creates a nice ambience.

The colour is lovely and it's a pity that this is so sheer...

  8. I have bought OPI polishes just yesterday - Germany collection - and, frankly, I'm a bit dissapointed. I had to cover my nails by it 3 times at first. Then some parts of it just vanished from my nails, so I covered it for the 4th time. And, finally, I'm glad :)I hope the color will last long :)

Oh, I have re-read your post again and realized that I practically have just repeated what you've said :)

  11. what a beautiful color! too bad some of my favourite hues often turn to be on the sheer side, and need 3 to 4 coats to get opaque... This one is gorgeous.
