Beauty Bin #7

by 22.6.14

Totally forgot to post these Beauty Bin items. They got lost on my old hard drive along with some other posts. Let's go!

Maybelline The Rocket mascara waterproof
Love this, have been using it since half a year and just killed another one and have a back up ready.
I love the brush and the fact that is not so expensive. Maybelline make the best drugstore mascara's.

Maybelline False Lash Mascara waterproof
This brush is slightly bent, which I normally like. However, it doesn't get to all the lashes and the root of the lashes like the The Rocket. It is great for a more natural look, even though the name says False Lash Effect. Don't really agree on that.

Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara
A tiny tiny wand to really get to the lower lash line. I bought a couple of these, but don't really use them now anymore. I really liked it pre Vincent, now I just go for one mascara to do the job, upper and bottom lashes. If you got the time and money to spare, go for it!

L'Oreal Super Liner Ultra Precision in Brown
A staple in my every day makeup whenever I want to go for a brown eyeliner. This one is super dark brown and has a glossy finish. I like to wear off black, dark brown eyeliner. It is not so harsh and slightly more subtle :)

Diorskin Forever Foundation in 010 and 020
This has been my favorite high end foundation for many years. It is great for combo skin types and also has an spf of 25. Not too great for traveling because of the glass packaging. At the moment I only have one high end foundation in my collection and tend to use more high street nowadays.

Essence Better than gel nails topcoat
A life saver for a nail noob. It is affordable and does the job really well.
Killing lots of these. A must buy!

Balea Skin make up remover wipes for dry, sensitive skin
A good and very affordable wipes. Doesn't irritate the skin and takes of the majority of the make up.

BeBe Young Care make up remover wipes for dry sensitive skin
This are my favorite make up wipes. I have one in my suitcase, my closet and my make up bag. It claims to take off waterproof make up but the Rocket mascara is very stubborn and needs a liquid make up remover. I always use these wipes as a first step in taking off my make up.

  2. I usually use the Rocket mascara too. I must try this L'Oreal eyeliner. Recently I started using L'Oreal mascaras - False Lash Wings and Telescopic and I think they are great for more natural look. What do you think about it?

@Vivivan: I disliked Colossal Volume, I was really disappointed with it. First off, it felt kinda dry in the beginning.. It worked ok after a few uses. It gives long separated lashes, Doesn't work that well for me - I need more volume for me. But my biggest problem is that it's been a hell to remove it! I normally use waterproof mascars and remove them either with some Cream Milk or my favourite make up remover from Yves Rocher: 'Pur Bleuet - express eye makeup remover' (best thing I've ever tried!). But this thing just doesn't come off! It leaves a lot of small mascara particles on my lashes and all over the eye! It's just really really hard to get rid off..

  6. Have you ever tried Maybelline's Full N' Soft mascara? I work at Sephora, and no matter how many high end mascaras I try, I've found nothing that does the job quite like my trusty Full N' Soft.

  7. I also own the False Lashes mascara and I agree the look is so natural! I thought it was because of my asian-like lashes even though i am italian, but your words are comforting me, thank you Simone :D gotta try the Rocket one! (even though I was actually thinking about some asian product, like this https://www.beautyeshop.co.uk/shop/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=1390&search=mascara or https://www.beautyeshop.co.uk/shop/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=2222&search=mascara )

  8. I have the powder from Dior's Diorskin range. I use it every time I do my make-up. I really like the finish it gives on top of foundation... if you sort of dab it on lightly with a stippling brush, you still get a bit of a glow from the foundation and the overall look looks very natural. Dior just bring it when it comes to make-up! :)

  10. I also like the Forever Foundation by Dior but I prefer Nude (less coverage though) for daily basis.
You gotta try the Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. It is my go-to foundation for photoshoots.

    Love your blog!

  11. I want to buy the Rocket, I tried it because a friend of mine owns it and it's stunning, amazing, and more I've seen your pictures while you were wearing it and it gave a great effect. I will buy it as soon as I finish the Longeyes+ by kiko. I hate it. Does kiko exist in your country?

Dior has a really good range for makeup and skincare. I got really interested in Balea =).
I hear you talking so much about it that one day if i travel to Germany I definitely will get it.

All the best for you, Vinnie, Oliver and Minou.

    With love,
