Hello everybody,

Before the American tour started, Oliver and I took some time to visit Castle Solitude in Stuttgart. It was a hot day, so the fan that I took with me that day came in handy.

The dress that I'm wearing is from Warehouse and the handbag from Picard.

Oliver and me have reached Orlando safely on the 21st of August. We decided to go a to the US a couple of days before the tour, so we could go to Universal Studios.

For our first flight we had to be at the airport at 8 am. That meant almost no sleep, because the night before the flight your mind is processing what you need to take with you and what you think you might forget. I normally never sleep well on a plane, but since I have one of these CLOUDZ neck pillows, I sleep like a baby.

Many hours later we arrived in Orlando. We were waiting for the shuttle to come pick us up and were trying not to pass out in the heat. It's around 32 degrees Celsius over here and very humid. It feels like you're hitting a wall when you get out of air conditioned buildings. For me it feels like your walking from the fridge to the oven, like a deep frozen pizza to a ready to eat pizza.

All the hotels you could possibly think of had regular shuttles, except for ours. Turned out that you had to make a call to get a shuttle. Luckily there was a very nice English gentlemen that borrowed me his phone.

I was so ready for a shower, teethe cleaning session and a bed. At home I use an electric tooth brush, but I left it there since I can't really charge it here and it's quite heavy. Oliver got me a tooth brush from the hotel and that's where the horror began.

At the end of my cleaning session with a horrible weak tooth brush, I felt an awful pain in my throat. I thought I hurt a nerve by my too enthusiastic cleaning habits. Every time I moved my tongue side ways or forward, I felt an agonizing pain. It was a pain I never felt before and was very worried. I looked for minutes in my mouth to find something. If I poked myself, I should be bleeding, but there was no blood.

I decided to go to bed with a throat pastille and was hoping for waking up the next morning pain free. Little did I know that I was up for another night of no sleep.

On the next morning I took my Nokia, turned on the flash and gave myself an appointment with 'Throat-Nose- and Ear' Doctor Simons. After some poking around I saw that in the side of my 'back throat' there was a tooth brush hair stuck in there. That son of a cheap hotel tooth brush was poking me all night long.

When I tried to get it out, it jumped in my throat. It's not a pleasant feeling knowing that you have plastic in your body, but I was relieved that it was no longer hurting me. What a relief it was to get it out!

I am hereby sentencing this tooth brush to Dental Prison for life!

Here are two outfits which I wore during the summer.

Both dresses are from Asos. Jasmin from Tea and Twigs told me about Asos a while ago and ever since I've been ordering quite a lot of clothing from their site. Their service is really great. The send out the packages really quickly and you can send it back without any extra costs. All is taken care off. I find it very relaxed to shop on their site. I find their clothing really affordable. Sometimes I find something which I really like and them am shocked to find out that it's a designer brand and costs 400 euros...

Hi Ho,

Oliver and me had to do some shopping for the house yesterday.

I was walking around in an old H&M dress, but didn't want to change in to something else. That's why I decided to add some things instead:

My hand bag is so old, it even has some chewing gum in it, but I won't throw it away. It holds my purse, phones, keys, make up and keys. It has the perfect size for a day of shopping. No shoulder or neck pain in the evening.

Hello to all the blog babies,

This summer has had beautiful and more autumn-like days.

Today however, was a lovely day were all of us needed a little more deodorant than usual. In case you are wondering; my deodorant is a deo roller from Dusch Das in the scent; Golden Cashmere. It does the job pretty well.

One of my favorite smells of summer is definitely BBQ. I never eat a lot of meat, but I eat a lot of the side dishes. My favorite is garlic yoghurt with baguette. Can survive on that alone. Unfortunately, my job would be in danger if I would reek of garlic all the time.

For the last two BBQ parties I've added:

The usual tomato mozzarella basil with black pepper

Meet Captain Schwarzkopf. He is the cat of our neighbors, but also a friend of ours. He pays daily visits to our house.

When Oliver and I first took a look at our new home, he came and welcomed us. Felt a bit like a scene out of 'Coraline'. We are very happy that due to our profession we can still enjoy having an animal around every once in a while. I love animals, but can't really take care of them because we are on the road half of the year. This is the perfect solution.

Hello everybody,

When I was in Helsinki with Epica, I had the pleasure to do Anneke van Giersbergen's make up!

It was fun to hang out with her and talk about all girly stuff. I find her extremely charismatic. She simply radiates a lovely energy. She's such a sweet heart!

I also managed to have a quick talk with Devin Townsend and shot some pics while at it.

Anneke asked for a nice smokey eye. I showed her the make up that I brought with me and she really liked my 'Good Girl' palette from Sleek, which is full of pinks. After some swatching we decided to use a lovely pink from MAC.

When you know that I am the Candy Queen of Metal, you know that you can expect something sweet every once in a while on my blog.

Today we are talking about Macaroons. I recently had my very first macaroon when I was in Stuttgart. They always appealed to me because of their color, but the taste is even greater. These are again stones for the stomach, so don't eat too many of them. Your wallet might hurt after buying a couple of these, they are 1 euro a piece, but they are little bombs of heaven. My favorite is the pistachio and mango. My sister also tried her first macaroon and was not sure how they would taste like, by looking at them. She was a little skeptical at the beginning but changed her mind quickly after tasting it.
