Too Soon

by 18.7.12

Hello guys,

I'm afraid that I have some bad news.

Yesterday our beloved 'Capitain Schwarzkopf' died after a surgery that was supposed to save him. He was nine years old and loved by many.

We will miss him so much.

I know how you feel, it's like to lose some part of the family...
He's in a better place now and since I was a child I have always thought that when I die I will see all my pets again hehe :) that comforts me.

    Greetings and hugs!

I'm sorry. It's horrible to lose something that is part of our lives. Memories are not physical, but they did laugh and so on. I know that you were attached to the cat, but he had a mission and have fulfilled it. I'm really sorry.

  18. Simone,

I hope your sadness for Captain Scharzkopf soon turns to fond remembrance and smiles. We love our pets, but deep down know they won't make it to the end of this life with us – that is why we're sure to love them fully and give them every ounce of happiness we can.

From what I've seen, Captain loved you very much and you were always good to him, letting him fall asleep on your robe or take your seat to curl up in. I don't know what happens when we finally fade, but I'd like to imagine him curled up in a nice, sunny spot, waiting for you to open the door.

My condolences from across the sea,
    Rebecca

  19. Oh Simone, I'm so sorry. My beloved black cat passed away just last week as well after ten years together. It's so hard to say goodbye to such important friends because they are always so understanding and kind to us, and you always wish there was more you could have done. He seemed like a lovely cat and I'm sure he knew how loved he was.

  20. So sorry for your loss. He was a beautiful cat, and I loved seeing your pictures of him.

Sadly sometimes these things happen, my friend's beloved dachshund died during a "routine" spaying. It doesn't make it easier, but we tend to forget that all surgery is serious.

Again very sorry for your loss, the loss of a pet is no different than the loss of a loved one. My condolences to you and his family.

  26. This is for ferrets, but yu can substitute cats:
Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on the snow.
I am the sunlight on the ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awake in the morning's hush I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry -- I am not there. I did not die.
Their mortal soul will not die, just change homes.
As the leaves in autumn fall to the ground to protect the roots in earth from
the winter snow. And in the spring, the leaves that fell to the ground have
now become mulch and nourish the tree as it blossoms with new and fresh
budding leaves and seeds. So does the mortal souls change homes.
They go from their ever so mortal body into the immortal soul of their
owner's. For now they will be there to ferret out things in this place we call
civilized. They are there to bring back those happy memories and help you
when all seems lost. For ferrets don't get lost, just find another home. They
will find a permanent home in your immortal soul and heart.
Yes, you will see glimpses of them out of the corner of your eye, only to
look and see them gone. But that isn't anything new for a ferret, now is it.
These glimpses are so you will know, the happiness, joy, peace and
tranquility enjoyed in the owner's immortal soul.
Never to suffer, never to die ... no more.

  28. What a handsome prince! I'm so sorry for your loss. Below is a poem that helped me and my family heal from the loss of our dog a few years ago. I hope it brings you comfort.

    Hugs from America,
    Jennifer

    The Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.

  44. Sometimes life gets hard and we lose our beloved ones, it's so difficult when someone leaves. With animals is no different...I completely understand your sadness, it breaks everyone's heart. Animals are so sweet, so innocent, pure kindness. Fortunately your cute little hairy friend is resting and looking after you from a much better place than this one. A huge hug, kisses and love from the other side of the planet (Argentina).
    Capitain Scharzkopf RIP =)
