Movie Star Make Up #4 - DARK SHADOWS -

by 11.7.13

Tim Burton has been my favorite director of all time. When I introduced the 'Movie Make Up' series, I knew I had to include a Tim Burton Look. There were so many to chose from, a lot of colorful ones. Since you mostly see me in colorful make ups, I decided to go dark and picked Victoria Winters during her final scene of TB's remake of 'Dark Shadows'.

It is super easy and a lot of fun to do! Once again you don't need many products. This look consists out of a super pale foundation (I picked KRYOLAN's Body Foundation in Ivory for the neck and face), black eyeshadow, black eyeliner and Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream on the eyes. Throw some water in your hair and pick a dark lipstick of your choice. Et voila!

Hope you enjoy the Dark Smoon.

  1. I'm also a great fan of Tim Burton, that make up is beautiful...when I was younger I used to do my make up like that (and dress pretty tim burtonish)... now with 27 I just dress casual. Only my tattoo collection makes the difference!

  2. I'm also a great fan of Tim Burton's work. When I was younger I used to dress and makeup very "Tim Burnish" and that kind of makeup was one of my choices!

  16. I really like that we have the same taste in movies! Wich obviously means i love Tim Burton's movies. Dark shadows is a very good one. Different and refreshing. I think you chose the best look on it, because even when the one of Angelique is amazing too, doesn't bring anything new. You also could have been Dra. Hoffman because your hair haha.
You look amazing, and rocker, of course :p.

  18. It makes me think of Das Kabinett des Doktor Caligari and all of the "cinéma expressionniste" (i don't know how to translate it in english or german...) and i love it. I think he is a great director and his films are a kind of tributes to this cinema. Anyways, great job and of course, great makeup !
