Spider Boy to the rescue!

Last week we had quite the adventure! After we brought my mom to the train station, we discovered that she had left her phone at our place. Out of all things that you can forget, the phone and passport are the worst if you ask me! We rushed back to our local train station to see if she might have stayed, but she was on her way to the main station in Stuttgart.

Nowadays we are so lost if we don't have our phone with us. We all know that it is not just a device to call  each other, but more like tiny computers that hold our entire life. I did what I thought was right, and jumped in the car with Vincent to drive to the Stuttgart Central station.

I called my dad and told him that we were on our way to Stuttgart and that in case she would call him from a phone booth he could let her know.

Why is it always like this when you are really in a hurry that you take the wrong exit? Yes, that happened to me. Driving around in Stuttgart can be a nightmare and is very stressful. There were construction sites everywhere. I was starting to lose hope that we would reach her on time.  I knew when her next train would leave and that we only had a couple of minutes left. I saw that time was running out. Let's not forget the struggle to find a parking spot......

When I was close to give up, I decided to stay focused and keep a positive mindset. Spider Boy and me found a parking spot next to the taxis and ran as fast as we could to track number 10, where my mom was waiting for us.

I hate jogging and am not the best runner, but my determination was stronger than my stamina ;)
We made it 3 minutes before her train would depart!! We had to run back to our car, because our parking spot wasn't ideal and I didn't want to get a ticket.

The feeling afterwards that we made it was incredible! My mom was so relieved and I was glad that we didn't give up in the end. It really made my day.

In the end a positive mindset and will power can be the key to any achievement in life.

Ps. I took the photo of Spider Boy while we were parked. Safety first! Don't text and drive.

How to not make this pleather jumpsuit look like an SM outfit.... That was really difficult. As soon as I was wearing the jumpsuit, the naughty side in me came out to play ;)
This is not the best outfit to wear in summer, since it doesn't have a build in air conditioner. You will be sweating buckets after half an hour. This is really just for special occasions and not something I would wear when going for a hike in the forest.

Jumpsuits aren't my most preferred outfits, but they make the whole decision process a whole lot shorter. I think we all have a closet filled with clothes and some days we just don't know what to wear :)
With a jumpsuit you have your top and trousers all in one.

Now, all you need is to find a quick way how to take it off when you need to use the restroom. Why don't they make thin zippers between the legs?

You can get the jumpsuit here: Black Jumpsuit

Never would I have thought that I would start to wear green clothes. I always stayed away from green. The only green item that I owned was a leather jacket. But it was so dark green that it almost looked black.
Lately I have been trying to get out of my black clothes and trying something different. Khaki green is the type of green where I feel very comfortable in.

This dress is from H&M
The hat is from the DM (german drug store)
Sunglasses from Calvin Klein
Camera Fuji X100F

Are there any colours that you didn't like in the past but have a change of heart?

The skies became clearer, the airplanes were on the ground instead of in the air. The cars remained in our garages and the trains were standing still on the tracks.

Covid-19, the climate crisis, the fight against racism. They have been keeping many of us awake at night for the last couple of weeks, months and for some of these matters even for years, decades and centuries. Streets that were empty before were filled with a sea of people fighting for basic human rights.

While we were complaining about having to wear face masks out in public, waiting longer in line to buy our food and clothes, other people have been waiting their whole life for a change that still hasn't come.

We are all fighting for clean air at this very moment. We want to preserve our mother earth and ensure that our children have a safe future. We should do this united as one, not divided by systemic racism, ethnicity, sexual orientation, different beliefs. There is no Planet B and there is no you and me. It is us, together.

Our planet earth is our only home and we need to protect it and not destroy it. I believe that if we all make changes in our life style, we can still turn the tide. Don't think that you alone cannot make a change. If we all think like this, nothing will change for the better.

We must return to the laws of nature
Free ourselves from madness*

Here is the end result of a creative make up session that I had a while ago. I already posted two photos on my Instagram account some days back. My colourful dress was inspiring me to create this modern geisha look. The colour combination of the beautiful flowers on the dress inspired me to dive into my make up collection to look for fun bright eyeshadows and some special duo chrome purples.

The star of the look is not your usual eyeshadow, it is actually a blush that I have had in my collection since a long time and haven't really used that much.

Mac Cosmetics 'Burgundy Times Nine' eyeschadow palette
Mac 'Frankly Scarlett' Blush
Linda Hallberg Cosmetics Spectral Palette (Abstract & Occult)*
Ardell lash trio (large)
L'Oréal Lash Paradise Mascara'*
L'Oréal Karl Lagerfeld lipstick 'Karismatic'*

Do any of you know the name of the flowers on my dress?

Bright kisses!

Simone
